Welcome to the Representation Office of Harghita County Council in Brussels

one of the three Sekler counties represented under the common brand of Szeklerland!

The Representation Office of Seklerland has been inaugurated in Brussels on 1st of June 2011 by Mr. Csaba Borboly, Mr. Sándor Tamás, Presidents of Harghita and Covasna County Councils, by Mr. Ferenc Péter, Mayor of Sovata and Chairman of the Seklerland Administration Council on behalf of Mures county. The event took place at Brussels Representation House of Hungarian Regions in the presence of Mr. Zsolt Semjén, Deputy Prime Minister of Hungary.

Seklerland represents the Romanian Harghita, Covasna and Mureş counties' local culture, tradition and their common representation brand.

Among the main objectives of the office stand:

• Promoting values, culture and the particular interests of the area on European level
• Promoting the regional economic and turistic opportunities on European decision-making institutions' and forums' level in order to facilitate the effective development of the region
• International project participation
• Valorification of investment possibilities
• Increasing the tourist flow in the region and developing the counties' tourism
